  • a brief explanation about the role and relevance of the element within a story

  • an extensive teaching example from a Conversation card showing how to use the card as a stimulus for working with the element

  • an opportunity for students to collaborate, speak and write as they explore their thoughts and ideas

• suggestions for next steps in the story writing process
